It has been over a year since Mr. Silvestry has been incarcerated in the Laurinburg, NC detention. He has not been tried or indicted yet despite a year having passed.
There is however a significant amount of money available to the victims of the case. This amount of money could possibly eliminate almost all of the money owed by the people involved in this case. Note that practically none of these funds are coming from Mr. Silvestry as he is destitute. The funds were raised from family and friends that had no part in anyway in the running of Silvestry Chevrolet. Mr. Silvestry has been abandoned by his wife as well who has withdrawn any potential support for her soon to be ex-husband.
The District Attorney and the Public Defender have been very cooperative in trying to work out an arrangement to settle the case and arrange for the funds to be transferred to the victims. If you are one of these victims please contact the District Attorney in Scotland County and ask that this case be put on the calendar for settlement at the earliest possible date. Mr. Silvestry no longer needs to remain in jail and you no longer need to have creditors harass you.
